About

  Virgo Fidelis Sixth Form

In the Sixth Form, we aim to provide a framework for the rounded development of the individual and we warmly welcome girls from Virgo Fidelis’ Year 11 as well as those who wish to join Virgo Fidelis for this important stage in their preparation for adult life.

In all cases girls will only be accepted if they meet our entry criteria.

Virgo Fidelis is situated in extensive forested grounds, with tennis and netball courts and sports field.   The school complex includes a Sixth Form Centre, chapel, media suite, a drama and dance studio, a hall and stage, art and graphics rooms, a catering suite, Sports Hall and computer suites.  It is a school which has its own oasis of green space and parkland within built South East London.

Supervised study facilities with access to computers are available for all Sixth Form students.

The official school day begins at 8.15am and finishes at 2.50pm and is divided into five 60 minute sessions. Each lesson includes a prayer or a reflection.

Sixth Form Students are expected to take a more independent approach to their work. We have high expectations for all our students. They should develop self-motivation, time managements, concentration and always relied upon their best, which are necessary skills to succeed in the Sixth Form.

The following information is the outline to point students in the right direction. Hopefully it will serve as an easy source of reference as well as a reminder of the high expectations we have for all our students.

Virgo Fidelis parents are consulted at all stages of their daughter's progress in the Sixth Form. During the two years of a Sixth Form course, parents are invited to meet the staff on two occasions and receive regular written reports on their daughter's progress.
