Welcome from the
I am delighted to have taken up the post of Headteacher at Virgo Fidelis.
I taught at Coloma Convent Girls’ School for many years and I feel privileged to have been appointed to this new role. I am really looking forward to working with all in the school community.
I believe that Faith and Education are vital today, and the Gospel Values of equal opportunities for all, love and respect for everyone underpin the work I intend to develop at the school.
The school has an incredible history and tradition and we will be marking its 170th anniversary this year. I would love to hear from anyone who would like to help organise events or has ideas or memories of the school so that we can mark this very special occasion appropriately.
As part of this celebration I will be asking the girls to nominate a country that they would like to see represented on the flagpoles outside the school. The intention is to contact the embassies of those countries so that we could be given a flag and show something of the heritage of our students.
The school motto “Credo, Spero , Amo “ “I believe, I hope, I love” represents the way we care for the girls here and aim to give them the best education and the very best start in life. I told them in assembly that they should always aim high, never to underestimate their ability, work hard but love and respect all.
I promise to do my very best for all the girls in my care and look forward to an exciting future here at Virgo Fidelis.
