- then the first point of contact should always be the Form Tutor for her class. After this contact and only after this contact, if you still wish to contact the school further then the Head of Year is the next point of contact.

Please respect this process. It is important that parents appreciate that staff have very limited time to communicate with parents. And that approaching the Form Tutor first, is the best use of time.

The Form Tutor has the most immediate information about a child in their class, where-as the Head of Year (with over 120 children to look after) will need to consult with the Form Tutor first, before being able to discuss an issue with a parent. With this in mind, you can see that this procedure for contact should be the most expedient. 

It should not be a surprise to parents that teachers are most likely to be teaching in classrooms most of the day, and cannot leave a class to answer a telephone call!

In preference, please always write to the school on the first point of contact regarding your query.
