Year 7 Catch Up Funding
The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support year 7 pupils who did not achieve the expected standard in reading or maths at the end of key stage 2 (KS2).
Schools must identify pupils who need extra support from the year 7 catch-up premium and decide the best way to use the funding.
On this page we provide information about our funding allocation for the current academic year and details of how we intend to spend it, as well as information about last year.
Our Funding for 2016/2017: £4,500
Our most recent Ofsted inspection commented very positively on our use of additional funding:
|"The additional funding to boost the literacy and numeracy performance of lower-attaining students in Years 7 and 8 is focused well to address the differing needs of those who are eligible for support. Consequently, they are meeting or exceeding the targets set to reduce the gaps in their knowledge and skills.
